One-Time EMT Training

All California EMTs are REQUIRED to complete a ONE-TIME MANDATORY TRAINING for naloxone, epinephrine auto-injector, and glucometer.

This training is required IN ADDITION to EMT Skills Verification.

This course complies with the training and evaluation of cognitive skills competency set forth in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 2, Emergency Medical Technician Scope of Practice for the following:

  • Finger stick blood glucose testing and glucose administration

  • Administration of naloxone by auto-injector, intramuscular, and intranasal

  • Administration of epinephrine by auto-injector

Course Length: 1.0 hour

EMS CEs: 1 hour
